A Boy Doesn’t Want Me And It’s The End Of The World

October 22, 2018 by Violet Benson

Maybe if I was skinnier

Or if my hair was longer

Maybe if I were her

Would our love be stronger?

Maybe if I was taller

Or even dyed my hair

Would you say I’m beautiful?

Would you even stop and stare?

Maybe if I were a model

had that body that you liked

Shaped just like a coke bottle

Then you’d never leave my sight

I’ll change myself

Just tell me how to act

I’ll cast a spell on you

So you’re the one that I attract

I’ll reignite the spark

And make myself brand new

Will you love me then?

Will I be good enough for you?

I’ll make myself more beautiful

If that’s what you desire

Ill be the woman that you want

Down to the wire

I’m standing right in front of you

Pretending to look tough

Holding back the tears

On why I’m not enough

Feeling so small

Its time to let you go

Remember to love myself

Remember to grow

I may not be enough for you

But I am enough for me

So this is my goodbye

It’s time to set me free

I disagree with some of the lines. You don’t need to change the way you act just for the guy to like you. Have some self respect and dont let the whole world know how much you love sex and dicks. Have you ever wondered why are you still single until now? Its not about the boobs and ass size honey.

This is beautiful and honestly speaks to me on so many different levels. Keep on writing and expressing yourself girl! Thank you for being brave/vulnerable enough to share your feelings – it’s definitely not easy.

I know you’re known has the funny, can laugh at herself persona but you’re also a highly intelligent, deep thinking lover. I can tell because I can see so much of myself in your poetry. I wanted to just take a second and tell you that it’s so important to embrace that dichotomy openly. Kudos

This got me so good! Woman are always trying to be loved instead of loving themselves, so glad we are coming together to help each other realize we are enough for ourselves.

This is terrible lol just cause something rhymes doesn’t make it worth writing or qualify as a “poem”. This is like 3rd grade level diary shit
